On November 6, a three-day online hackathon for girls from Central Asian countries Tumaris.Hack has come to an end, where, with the support of mentors, the participants worked on solving problems and creating application prototypes for further presentation to the jury.
The hackathon is organized by IT Park with the support of the USAID Entrepreneurship and Business Environment Development Project, Digital Operator Beeline Uzbekistan, TBC Bank and Huawei.
In total, 21 out of 53 teams that formed on the first day presented their projects on Demo Day.
The teams competed in three areas: E-commerce, FinTech and DeepTech.
According to the results of the jury's evaluations, the winners of the hackathon were:
• 1st rank - a team from Uzbekistan Madagascar with the MoveIt project - a social network for the development of mobility when repeating movements based on artificial intelligence;
• 2nd - a team from Kazakhstan Game Changers - a program designed to read human emotions through facial expressions, based on artificial intelligence;
• 3rd - a team from Uzbekistan Totally Stem - a platform for reliable rental housing.
The winning teams will have the opportunity to enter the acceleration program out of competition.
It should be noted that a total of 469 applications were registered. Of these, 207 applications were from Uzbekistan, 159 from Kazakhstan, 68 from Kyrgyzstan, 32 from Tajikistan and 3 from Turkmenistan.
The jury members of the hackathon were Senior Frontend Developer at Shopify Kobi Umarbekov, Teamlead and Interim CTO at Beelab LLC Shokhruh Alimov, Chief Information Officer at TBC Bank Davron Adilkhodjaev, project manager at IFTg Ernest Fink-Yakovlev and CEO at Ilmhona skills accelerator Farzona Sanginova.
