Uzbekistan and Korea implement projects in the field of BPO and education

On February 7, IT Park Uzbekistan was visited by a delegation of the Republic of Korea. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen the partnership between Uzbekistan and Korea in the areas of BPO and education.

The delegation included General Manager of Strategic Business Division You Sang Hoon, President of Inha University Research and Business Foundation Kim Joo Hyung, Vice Dean of Global Education of Inha University Shim Sang Eun, Head of Inha Startup Foundation of Inha University Park Chung Yong, Vice President of Strategic Business Division Hanjin Information Systems & Telecommunication (HIST) Kim Moonkyum, General Manager of the HIST Strategic Business Division Ryu Shin.

The guests were welcomed by Director of IT Park Uzbekistan Farkhad Ibragimov welcomed guests, COO Abdulahad Kuchkarov, Deputy Director for Digital Education Makhliyo Muksinova, Head of the International Department Nigora Mirjalilova and Head of the Startup Ecosystem Development Department Jahongir Kagirov.

During the meeting, the delegation from Korea presented the main activities of IT Park, including the residency program, the work of IT and BPO Centers, and educational programs.

The guests appreciated the efforts of the government of Uzbekistan in the development of IT-outsourcing, in which the BPO direction plays an important role. During the meeting, several promising projects were agreed with the aim of attracting Korean BPO-companies and increasing exports.

Additionally, the dialogue participants discussed the organization of joint projects in the field of IT-education, in particular, the possibility of conducting training courses with invited experts from Korea.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue to expand mutually beneficial cooperation and create joint projects.
