On May 29, the IT Park office was visited by representatives of Latvian organizations that arrived in Uzbekistan as part of the international program Women Founders Across Borders.
The purpose of the visit is to discuss the startup ecosystem in Uzbekistan and the development of entrepreneurship in the IT industry.
The delegation included Alice Gurenko, coordinator for work with startups at Riga Tech Girls, Elena Selezneva, project coordinator at NGO Tech4Impact (Uzbekistan), as well as founders of startups Skill Loom, zeMETRIX, V Health, HR WellBe and RACE TRIBE.
The guests were welcomed by Nigora Mirdzhalilova, Head of the Investment and International Relations Department, and Madina Sultonova, Head of the Digital Transformation Department.
Representatives of IT Park told the guests about the development of a startup ecosystem and support for entrepreneurship in the field of information technology in Uzbekistan, as well as about projects implemented jointly with foreign organizations within the framework of international cooperation.
During the visit, the prospects for the development of the IT industry in Uzbekistan and the startup ecosystem as a whole were discussed. Foreign colleagues were also presented with the IT Card and IT-Visa projects, which allow obtaining multiple entry visas for IT specialists, founders and investors.
The meeting ended with an excursion around the territory of IT Park and familiarization with the organization's infrastructure.
