World Bank representatives visited the Syrdarya branch of IT Park

The delegation of the World Bank (WB) arrived in Uzbekistan for a preliminary assessment mission of the Digital Inclusion Uzbekistan Project.

It consists of Senior Operations Officer of WB Working Group Sandra Sargent, Leading ICT Specialist Juan Navas Sabater, Senior Digital Development Specialist (WB) Mikhail Bunchuk and others.

During their visit, representatives of the World Bank visited the Syrdarya branch of IT Park and got acquainted with the conditions created for youth, as well as with the activities of the BPO Center. The guests were told about the ongoing work in the field of information technology and the results achieved.

Also, within the framework of the Inclusive Digitalization in Uzbekistan project, representatives of the World Bank inspected the building of the BPO center, which is planned to be installed in the Syrdarya region, in order to support the creation of BPO centers and their development.

During these meetings, the WB mission discussed the issues of accelerating work to advance the preparation of the Digital Inclusion Uzbekistan project. In particular, the WB mission plans to get acquainted with the preparation process and discuss other activities that are planned to be carried out as part of the preparation for the project.
