20 teams are selected for the second wave of the Tumaris Tech project!
On January 9, 2021, the Pitch Day was held for the second wave of the “Tumaris Tech” project, which aims to develop women’s start-up projects at different stages.
Overall, out of received 250 applications for the participation of the second wave of the project, only 33 teams were able to make it to Pitch Day, and 20 startups were selected to participate in the project itself according to the results of the Pitch Day.
The jury were:
- The Head of the direction for development of startups at IT Park Jakhongir Rajabov;
- The Head of the Startup Ecosystem Development Department at IT Park Farrukh Maksumov;
- Project-manager at IT Park – Madina Musurmankulova;
- Founder and Chairman of the International Women’s Public Fund “SHARQ AYOLI” – Saodat Tursunbaeva;
- Private entrepreneur, start-up project tracker – Sayyora Shakirova;
- Senior Product Manager at “CINEMOOD” – Mukaddam Akhmedova.

The project participants who have passed the Pitch Day will receive training, which will be held by local experts. The Experts will help the participants develop their startups and prepare a business model. The entire program of the second wave of the Tumaris Tech project will be conducted in the Uzbek language. Upon the completion of training, projects will be presented to investors at Demo Day.
It should be noted that the Tumaris Tech project was developed by IT Park Uzbekistan with the support of the USAID project for the development of entrepreneurship and the business environment.
