Customs privileges for IT Park residents

One of the facilities given to residents of IT Park targeted to create additional conditions for their accelerated development are customs benefits.

According to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 10.01.2019 No. 17 “On measures to create a technological park of software products and information technologies”, benefits are applied to IT Park residents denoted by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 30.06.2017 No-UP-5099 “On measures to fundamentally improve the conditions for the development of the information technology industry in the republic”, in particular, exemption from customs duties (excluding customs duties) for imports for a period up to January 1, 2028 governmental needs of the equipment, component parts, attributes, components, technical documentation and software that is not manufactured in Uzbekistan.

In order to get customs privileges, a resident needs to independently compile a list of goods delivered (imported) into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan and add to the State Unitary Enterprise “Center for Comprehensive Expertise of Projects and Import Contracts under the Ministry of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan” (Center) for a multi-disciplinary examination.

Customs payments exemptions are subject to be applied from the date of obtaining the Center’s positive conclusion.
