First Republican app development contest with S100 000 prize fund takes place in Uzbekistan
Today, in Uzbekistan, special attention is paid to the rise of the IT sector, and the development of interest and love for the ICT sector among young people can be considered the most important and fundamental step to achieve the goal of becoming the Technology Center in Central Asia. So what will strengthen this interest, if not a full-scale competition for young developers with a huge prize fund? Therefore, IT Park by the support of the The Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates is ready to announce the imminent launch of the first republican contest for students to develop state-run mobile applications - “mGovAward”.
Students will have a chance to try their talent in 5 directions:
- Education;
- Healthcare;
- Tourism;
- Transport and Logistics;
- Business and G2B.
The main selection criteria to be app efficiency, its innovation and easy to use feature. Call for applications to the contest will begin on September 26 during the ICT week!
At “mGovAward” contest participants must create a mobile application that will solve one of the existing problems in Uzbekistan. Contest prize fund equals $ 100,000, of which $ 50,000 will go to the first place, $ 30,000 to the second, and $ 20,000 to the third. Plus, winners will receive free trips to the UAE and the direct participation right in the IT-Park incubation program!
