Hack4Region hackathon is held in Kashkadarya region

From March 27 to 28, 2021, the Hack4Region hackathon, organized by IT Park in partnership with the khokimiyat of Kashkadarya region and universities of Kashkadarya region, was held in Kashkadarya region.

«Hack4Region» is a hackathon in which participants were given 2 days to develop a product that resolves a particular problem of our society. Specially invited experts and mentors helped and guided participants throughout the two days, showing them the most efficient and fast ways to implement the project’s prototype.

According to statistics, 167 applications were received to participate in the hackathon.

It is worth noting that the youngest participant of the contest became 12-year-old developer Oripov Turabek from Karshi, who worked on the project “courier service for the delivery of food and groceries”. At the end of the hackathon, the young developer was awarded a certificate to study in a free Backend course at the IT Center.

The winners of the hackathon:

1st place: team «Bek-shoh».

Prize: Redmi 9.

2nd place: team «E-government».

Prize: Mi Smart Band 4; BlackBeat 500.

3rd place: team «Onlinedocuz».

Prize: Mi Smart Band 5; Redmi Air Dots; Mi Bluetooth Speaker Basic 2.

Thanks to this hackathon, participants were able to implement prototypes of their products, identify their weakness and strength as well as expand their networking. Such hackathons will be of great help to support the ecosystem of startups of Uzbekistan and to saturate it with new ideas, people and teams.
