The Inha University hosted the Uzbek-Korean International IT Forum on «New Uzbekistan and Prospects of IT Development».

The Minister of ICT Sherzod Shermatov, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Tashkent Kim Hee-sang, Vice President of ETRI Park Jong Hyun, CEO of IT Park Farhod Ibragimov, and representatives of Korean companies such as Geotwo Global Co Ltd., Joys Global Inc. and GOC Co Ltd attended the event.

The opening ceremony of the Korean BPO-center at the university took place as part of the forum.

The Ministry of Information Technology and Communications Development and the Research Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications of the Republic of Korea «ETRI» signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The Memorandum aims developing mutually beneficial cooperation, development of IT education, strengthening political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries.

The key directions of the Memorandum include involving major Korean BPO companies to Uzbekistan, which also implies the development of digitalization, and AI in Uzbekistan, and further cooperation in ICT.
