IT Academy at the IT Park to open in October this year

September 25, 2019, within Digital Uzbekistan Forum, the IT Park Director Farkhod Ibragimov announced the imminent opening of IT Academy at the IT Park, as well as all benefits that all IT training centers can obtain.

Particularly focusing his speech on education, Farkhod Ibragimov said in October of the current year, the first course of IT Academy will be launched at IT Park, where everyone can be able to get programming skills.

The main goal of IT Academy is to provide proficient training that meets all employer’s needs, preparing competent professionals and teachers. The IT Academy is building an ecosystem that combines educational programs, a technology platform and networking for IT professionals.

IT Academy plans to emit at least 1,500 specialists every yerar in the most popular areas of software development, software testing, web design, business analysis. Training courses of various difficulty levels will also be conducted in Uzbek.

“We position Uzbekistan as a platform where a sufficient amount of human capital can be found. There are a lot of gifted young people in our country, but not every one of them has a chance to get an education. We want to export IT services, so we need to have not only a large amount of human capital, but also a prospective human resource. Referring to the fact that the demand for IT-specialists is only growing year by year, the number of graduates is increasing, but not in a sufficient amount. If we want foreign eminent companies to open representative offices with us and to export IT products, we must, by involving the private sector, increase the quantity and quality of IT specialists released to the market of IT products of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, – said the IT Park Head.

As Farkhod Ibragimov noted many times, on July 15, 2019, the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “on measures to organize the activities of the technological park of software products and information technologies” was issued, following which residents of IT Park are granted a number of benefits and preferences. In particular, residents of IT Park are exempt from all types of taxes and mandatory contributions to state trust funds, as well as a single social payment until January 1, 2028. An important part of this decision is that IT training centers can also obtain resident status of IT-Park.
