On February 26, 2020, the first Digital Technology Training Center, aka IT Center, launched in the Kasbi district, Kashkadarya region. The former building of the telephone exchange, not functioned for a sufficient amount of time, had been chosen for the center’s construction. Following a full restoration, the building was equipped with the necessary facilities and technologies for its activity.
Kasby region mayor Tukhtamurod Meiliev, the head of the ministry territorial department Sanjar Aripov, the director of IT centers under IT Park Nodir Alibekov, public figures, representatives of state educational institutions, IT organizations and companies, as well as students attended the opening ceremony.
It is also worth mentioning that the third direction of the five initiatives led forward by the Uzbekistan President is dedicated to training the population and youth in the effective use of computer technology and the Internet. According to the goals, it is planned to open 188 such centers in the Republic, 23 has become the Digital Technology Education Center in Kashkadarya.
The training center in Kashakadarya region was not the only center that opened in late February.
On February 28, 2020, just a few days after the opening of the Center in Kashkadarya, the IT Center was opened in the Gurlan district of the Khorezm region. The building of the new Center turned out to be the empty building of the Khorezm branch of Uzbektelecom OJSC.
The opening ceremony of the high-tech training center was attended by representatives of the regional department of the Ministry, departmental enterprises and organizations, senior officials of the Khorezm region administration and industry leaders.
The training centers are going to organize courses on computer literacy, programming, robotics, working with the Internet, e-sports clubs and other areas. At the same time, it is also planned to improve the qualifications of employees of enterprises and organizations in training centers.
It is noteworthy that the Centers include training in lecture halls and computerized classrooms for youth and telecommunication enterprises in such areas as:
- introduction of new technologies;
- The basics of innovative entrepreneurship and e-commerce;
- Creation of modern and effective mechanisms for supporting IT projects, computer technologies;
- All the necessary conditions for teaching the basics of programming, robotics and e-sports have also been facilitated.
It is important to know that special attention in the Centers will be given to teaching English to developers for the development of outsourcing services, as well as career guidance for employees of state institutions.
And, itʻs to note that today, with the United Arab Emirates, the program “One Million Programmers” is actively taking place. Thanks to the opening of digital technology training centers, youth will be interested and actively involved in this program.
