IT companies from Uzbekistan and India discussed the development of cooperation in IT outsourcing

On March 11th, the event titled “Uzbekistan – India. A New Era of Cooperation” took place at the Ramada Hotel in Tashkent. Organized by the Embassy of India in Uzbekistan in collaboration with IT Park the conference served as a platform for B2B meetings with leading Indian IT companies.

The primary aim of the event was to deliberate upon the latest trends in the IT industry, identify potential avenues for collaboration between Uzbekistani and Indian IT companies, and establish foundations for forthcoming projects geared towards increasing the export volume of IT services from Uzbekistan.

By the conclusion of 2023, the export figures of IT Park residents had reached a milestone of $344 million. According to the goal set by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, this figure is expected to reach $5 billion by 2030. On this matter, Indian companies are one of the most considerable partners.

Within the framework of the event, Manish Prabhat, the Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan and Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, the Executive Director of IT Park Uzbekistan delivered speeches. Mr. Kuchkarov elaborated on the importance of collaboration with Indian companies and provided a comprehensive overview of IT Park’s activities.

He underscored the opportunities and advantageous conditions for conducting IT business in Uzbekistan, including tax incentives and preferences. Moreover, detailed information was presented regarding IT Park residency, which entails exemptions from all forms of corporate taxes and VAT, alongside initiatives such as the “Zero Risk” and “Regional Headquarters” programs for foreign IT and BPO entities seeking to enter the Uzbekistan market without any risks.

The conference was attended by representatives from prominent Indian IT companies including PCA Global Associates, Vasu Nath Enterprises, Batoi Systems Pvt Ltd, Itemperance Consulting Pvt Ltd, 2S Global Technologies Limited, Consulting Automatix Pvt Ltd, Power One Microsystems Pvt Ltd, Resonous Technologies Pvt Ltd, among others.  

IT companies from Uzbekistan and India deliberated on advancing collaboration in IT outsourcing across the following key domains:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Exchange of expertise and knowledge in the AI and ML.
  • LPO/BPO/KPO: Advancement of outsourcing in legal, business, and educational services.
  • Cloud Computing and Cybersecurity: Discussion on new technologies and data protection methods.
  • Healthcare in IT: Application of technologies to enhance medical assistance.
  • Blockchain, Internet of Things, and other innovations.

This event reaffirms the commitment of Uzbekistan and India to strengthening partnership and fostering the development of high-tech projects, ushering in a new era of collaboration where the IT industry plays a pivotal role.
