On April 18, 2020, at 15:00, an online webinar to be held for potential participants of the “Covid-19 Challenge 2020” contest on the topics as follows: "Digital solutions overview to combat COVID19 and problem areas in Uzbekistan” and “Technological problems arising in fighting COVID-19 and their possible solutions. "
The speakers are our compatriots: Saida Yusupova, Director of Green Business Innovation consulting company and NGO Tech4Impact, and Sarvar Abdullayev, a professor of Inha University in Tashkent, King’s College London School’s graduate.
In the first instance, the participants will be acquainted with Saida Yusupova’s report titled: " Digital solutions overview to combat COVID19 and problem areas in Uzbekistan."
Issues to be discussed during the address:
- international examples of digital and technological solutions based on artificial intelligence, open and big data to fight COVID-19;
- Areas in the social sector in Uzbekistan: education, healthcare, job creation and so on;
- open opportunities for our market.
Along, at the end of the speech, participants will have a chance to ask their questions from our speaker and discuss ideas on projects together with an expert.
Further, the webinar participants will listen to the second speaker, Sarvar Abdullaev, who will highlight the main goal of the competition "COVID-19 CHALLENGE 2020", as well as analyze issues, technical tasks in directions and promising ideas for their solutions”.

Saida Yusupova - Director of the Green Business Innovation and Tech4Impact NGO, a representative of the international Technovation contest and the Climate LaunchPad, largest international contest related to the green startups, a mentor and expert of the scientific CAT accelerator, a lecturer at Webster University, a consultant to the World Bank.
Sarvar Abdullaev is a professor at Inha University in Tashkent, an alumni of King's College London graduate school. He defended his doctoral thesis in the field of multi-agent systems, the author of several scientific publications in reliable international AI conferences such as ECAI, EUMAS, AAMAS, and others.
He is the winner and finalist of international competitions such as TechCrunch Disrupt Hackathon - 2014, ACM ICPC - 2005 and Microsoft Imagine Cup - 2005. In 2018, he successfully completed the UNDP project aimed to develop an early warning system for the spread of diseases and pests on farms.
At present, he is developing an autonomous system for predicting the occurrence of diseases and pests in farmers' plots with the support of UNDP in Uzbekistan. He also regularly engages as an organizer, trainer and mentor in conducting the Open Data Challenge Hackathon in Uzbekistan. Sarvar has 15 years experience in developing software for a foreign private company.
