IT Park hosted a meeting with Uzbekistan’s ambassadors

The IT Park brought together the ambassadors of the Republic of Uzbekistan to discuss the development of mechanisms for a joint program, aimed at increasing exports of IT-services and products. It was stated that diplomatic missions abroad can play a key role in this important activity.

The meeting took place on December 17 with the support of the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications.

The main speakers were the First Deputy Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications Oleg Pekos and Deputy Director for International Relations at IT Park Bahodir Ayupov.

The meeting also included a presentation on the main activities of the IT Park and its plans for developing outsourcing in business processes.

The parties also touched upon how Uzbekistan’s embassies abroad could support IT Park residents, and particularly their exposure to foreign countries.

Participants expressed their readiness to collaborate in establishing contacts between residents and potential clients, organizing visits to countries with advanced business process outsourcing (BPO), and attracting investors and organizations to Uzbekistan.

At the same time, the parties noted that there is a necessity to organize large-scale PR campaigns abroad to raise awareness of foreign IT communities about Uzbekistan’s potential in the sector.
