IT Park: on visit and training from the “Angry Birds” creator

Yesterday, on February 26, 2020, the creator of the well-known “Angry Birds” game, Peter Vesterbacka paid visit to IT Park, and later on, he conducted a wonderful training at Inha University for students and everyone else who are keen in the field of information technology.

The representatives of IT Park resident companies had also attended the meeting with Mr. Vesterbacka that was organized in IT Park office. They held quite useful and informative discussion with Peter Vesterbacka and asked him various questions, which was related to the starting with the creation of training games and ending with education in Finland.

Besides, IT Park staff also made a presentation to all participants in the meeting and spoke about the activities it performs and its future plans. At the end of the presentation, Peter Vesterbacka asked a range of questions and was generally interested in the organization’s works. He was very eager to observe the history of the development of Uzbekistan and how Uzbekistan continues to go forward.

Following the meeting, an honored guest expressed a desire to actively and closely cooperate with Uzbekistan and, in particular, with IT Park.

It is worth to note that Peter is interested not only in good and high-quality games, but also in equally high-quality education. After all, as he said: “First you need to make great games and only then supply them with good educational content”.

At the very end, Peter was presented with a gift on behalf of IT Park.

However, it is worth noting that this meeting was not the last one for Peter to date. After all, just a couple of hours later, Peter Vesterbacka hosted a training with students at the Inha University, which was arranged by IT Park in partnership with Top Management company.

As it was planned earlier, Peter made an amazing motivational speech at the training in which he told the story of the creation of the “Angry Birds” game, about the pitfalls that he had to deal with and about what Peter was counting on when his team I did not believe in him while creating this legendary game. The topic of education, the correct thinking of people and the IT industry in Europe have been also highlighted during the event.

At the end of the speech, students were given the opportunity to ask questions to which they received fairly detailed answers from the speaker. Following Q/A session, Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, Deputy Director for Startup Development, also made a small speech and shared his thoughts on the event and the opportunities that today’s youth have got.

After all the speeches, the students shot pictures with Peter, and some of them even managed to get an autograph from him.

In the end, Peter Vesterbacka left the audience fair food for reflection, expressed gratitude to everyone who came and woke up even more interest toward development of our country, and especially IT field in Uzbekistan.
