IT Park Organized Business Breakfast for Uzbekistan’s IT and Startup Communities

IT Park Uzbekistan hosted a business breakfast led by Executive Director Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, which brought together representatives from the IT and startup communities. The event was focused on presenting new initiatives implemented under a presidential decree and discussing future plans for the advancement of the startup ecosystem.

The event commenced with opening remarks by Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, who underscored the significance of fostering mutual dialogue between companies, communities, and government bodies to drive the sustainable growth of the nation’s startup ecosystem. 

“Only through collective efforts can we achieve ambitious goals and unlock the full potential of the region. IT Park is committed to providing comprehensive support to communities, enabling them to effectively inspire and assist startups in confidently entering international markets, expanding their export capabilities, and attracting additional investment. We believe that collaboration and knowledge exchange of expertise will establish a resilient ecosystem capable of competing globally and drawing the attention of the international community to the opportunities present in Central Asia,” stated Abdulakhad Kuchkarov.

Anvar Shakhidi, Senior Manager of the Startup Ecosystem Development and Venture Investment Attraction Department, elaborated on the new initiatives outlined in the presidential decree “On Measures for the Further Development of Startup Projects and the Venture Financing Ecosystem”. His presentation highlighted the opportunities available to startups and venture capital funds, while also addressing key areas for supporting innovative enterprises.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Digital Technologies and founders of startup communities, including EdVent, Pro Business Club, UEnter, Startup Weekend, TechWomen, WomeninTech, GDG, and C Space. Attendees presented their initiatives and offered proposals for the development of the startup ecosystem, sparking an engaging discussion. Concrete projects and ideas aimed at strengthening collaboration within the community were thoroughly explored.

IT Park Uzbekistan remains dedicated to fostering an environment conducive to knowledge exchange and the initiation of joint projects, thereby reinforcing Uzbekistan’s position as an emerging startup hub.
