Startup-project manager at IT Park branch of Khorezm region Sevara Palvonova received an award from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded women actively participating in the life of the state and society with various titles, orders and medals.  Among them are women entrepreneurs, teachers, artists, lawyers and others. 7 women were awarded medals “Kelajak Bunyodkori”, which also included Sevara.

Sevara Palvonova is actively working in the field of information technology development, training new young talents, training women in the field of relevant digital skills and employment in Khorezm region.

Sevara graduated from Urgench branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi on the basis of a state grant. In 2020, she was admitted to the Master's degree at the Faculty of Telecommunication Technologies of the same university, also on the basis of a state grant.

We emphasize that Sevara also became one of the winners in the Republican competition “100 ideas for Uzbekistan” in the direction of “information technology and innovation”.

Sevara Polvonova has held many competitions, events and seminars in her career to support start-up projects among young people.  Sevara took part in the “100 Ideas for Uzbekistan” competition with the “Speak With Me” project and entered the “Top-100 leading representatives of the youth of Uzbekistan”, where she was awarded a cash prize, a diploma and memorable gifts.

The main goal of the project “Speak With Me” – to create a single educational platform for citizens with hearing impairments across the country and anyone who wants to learn sign language.  There are more than 300 sign languages in the world, including Uzbek sign language, but at the moment it is not as developed as others.  The project “Speak With Me” is addressing this issue.

The project has a web and mobile application where you can quickly learn sign language using gamification.  In addition, additional lessons, information about Covid-19, opportunities and news created for our citizens with hearing impairments will soon be uploaded to the platform.

“When the question was what profession to choose, first of all, I chose the IT-field, as this is a new and promising direction, and my main argument was that very few women work in this field.  At that moment, I set myself the goal of increasing the ratio of women in the field of IT.  So I started working on projects and didn't stop there.  In addition, in 2019 I won a grant for the Prespectywy women in tech summit 2019 in Warsaw, which brought together all the women of the world from the IT field.

My plans for the future – to contribute not only to the development of the IT sector in Khorezm region, but also to the entire country, as well as to increase the role of women in this area”, – shared Sevara Palvonova.

The medal “Kelajak Bunyodkori” demonstrates the true qualities of patriotism, dedication and hard work.  This medal is awarded to individuals who faithfully serve the interests of their people and contribute to the success and glory of our country.

We congratulate Sevara Palvonova and wish her further outstanding success!
