IT Park team made the top five at WorldSkills Asia Abu Dhabi 2023

Team IT Park, representing Uzbekistan at the WorldSkills Asia championship, was among the top 5 teams.

The competition took place in Abu Dhabi from November 27 to 29, featuring participation from over 30 countries worldwide.

The IT Park team represented Uzbekistan in the competition, comprising:

  1. Suhrob Khaidarov — WorldSkills Expert;
  2. Muhammad Matchonov — Constructor, who previously participated in the international championship FIRST Global Challenge in Switzerland;
  3. Azizbek Rakhimjonov — Programmer, who took part in the national championship WorldSkills Uzbekistan in 2023.

All team members are mentors in mobile robotics at the Tashkent branch of IT Park.

The IT Park team competed in the “Autonomous Mobile Robotics” category, contending with opponents from 23 countries. Following the competition, the teammade the top five at the championship, and the team expert, Suhrob Khaidarov earned the “Best Expert” gold medal in the “Autonomous Mobile Robotics” category.

2nd place: Thailand

3rd place: Taiwan

4th place: India

5th place: Uzbekistan

The IT Park team showcased outstanding results at WorldSkills Asia Abu Dhabi 2023, ascending to the pinnacle of competitive success.

WorldSkills is a competition for professional excellence in various skills. Uzbekistan joined the “WorldSkills International” Association in 2020, becoming its 83rd member.

Recall that on September 20, WorldSkills Uzbekistan organized the second national championship in mobile robotics, adhering to WorldSkills standards. The championship took place at the special test site of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). Following the competition, the IT Park team emerged as the winner, earning the opportunity to represent Uzbekistan at the WorldSkills Asia Abu Dhabi Competition 2023.
