IT Park took part in a B2B meeting between women entrepreneurs from Central Asia

From 28 to 30 September 2021, IT Park took part in an online meeting within the framework of the Cooperative Exchange Program in order to establish close cooperation and partnerships between women entrepreneurs from Central Asian countries. This seminar was organized by the Secretariat of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the UNDP Country Office in Uzbekistan.

During the event, business women of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan discussed the development of industry, services, agriculture, art and, of course, information technology.

Speakers at the opening of the Cooperation Exchange were the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairperson of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia Tanzila Narbaeva, as well as the UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan Matilda Dimovska.

It should be noted that women’s entrepreneurship is actively supported by the government of Uzbekistan, and such large projects as “Tumaris Tech”, “TechBika” and “IT Woman” were created on the initiative of IT Park. As part of these programs, women entrepreneurs have developed numerous innovative projects that offer new ways to solve various business problems.

At the seminars, the issues of women’s participation in the development of industry, hotel and restaurant business, medicine, education, trade and finance were raised, during which each speaker shared the experience of his country and talked about the prospects for further cooperation with each other.

At the end of the B2B meeting, it was noted that women’s entrepreneurship directly affects the development of agriculture, since each innovative project works in the name of achieving the UN sustainable development goals. In addition to this, arts and crafts make women self-sufficient, which is a key factor in improving the well-being of families.

Since the countries of Central Asia have enormous potential in the field of information technology, cooperation between women entrepreneurs and leaders of innovative projects develops the startup ecosystem and positively affects the economy of Uzbekistan. Participation in international seminars helps to strengthen partnerships between enterprises of neighboring countries and ensures the development of all spheres of activity.
