IT Park took part in the UN online seminar

From 3 to 5 August 2021, an online seminar was held on the topic “Innovation, digital government and public service delivery for sustainable development in Central Asia”, organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), the Ministry of Digital Development, innovations and aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JSC “National infocommunication holding “Zerde”.

The seminar was organized to assess the possibility of digital transformation of the participating countries based on the results of the 2020 e-government review, exploring new concepts, tools and approaches in the field of innovation and digital government to support national strategies and plans, sharing experiences among participating countries for innovative, inclusive and effective delivery of public services.

First Deputy Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Digital Economy and Electronic Government Oleg Pekos, Deputy Director of IT Park for International Relations Bohodir Ayupov, as well as international experts, representatives of international organizations and others took part in this seminar.

During the seminar, participants discussed UN e-government research methodologies, new approaches and institutional arrangements that support design thinking, innovation laboratories and regulatory sandboxes, and how digital government can help expand digital opportunities and major transformation at the local and regional levels of government.

Deputy Director of IT Park for International Relations, in turn, gave an overview of digital transformation in Uzbekistan. During his speech, Bokhodir Ayupov also emphasized all the measures that the state is taking to increase the IT potential among young people and the general population, as well as to create a powerful foundation in the form of IT specialists, which is necessary for further digital transformation in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

As a result, the participants of the online seminar were able to communicate with each other and ask all their questions.
