IT Park Uzbekistan Expands Technological Partnership with China

As part of the official visit to China, a delegation from Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov and accompanied by Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, took part in an international exhibition and held a series of meetings with leading technology companies in Shanghai.

MWC Shanghai 2025: A Key Platform for Global Tech Engagement

MWC Shanghai 2025, a premier international exhibition dedicated to digital technologies, telecommunications, and artificial intelligence, convened over 37,000 participants and featured more than 300 exhibitors from across the globe.

During the event, the IT Park Uzbekistan delegation held meetings with over 70 international companies, presenting Uzbekistan’s growing potential as a competitive destination for outsourcing operations, establishing regional headquarters, and joint market entry initiatives targeting the CIS and European regions.   

Key meetings included discussions with companies such as FiRoam, Shenzhen Newtion Technology, FRS, FCTel, Newalink, King Base, AsiaInfo, and InfoQuick. Several of these enterprises expressed a keen interest in further assessing Uzbekistan’s advantages and incentives. Shenzhen Newtion Technology, in particular, identified Uzbekistan as a strategic gateway to new markets, while FRS and Newalink expressed intentions to evaluate opportunities for launching projects and establishing regional centers.

Foxit: Uzbekistan as a Regional Hub

During the visit, the delegation met with Zhang Long, Vice President of Foxit. The company expressed interest in opening a regional office in Uzbekistan and participating in the upcoming Global Business Services Forum (GBSF) in Tashkent.

Foxit is a global leader in PDF solutions and digital transformation software. The company currently serves over 780 million users worldwide, ranging from private individuals and businesses to government institutions.

Homestyler: Expansion into Central Asia and the CIS

Further discussions were held with Su Min, CEO of Homestyler, who outlined the company’s plans to expand its regional footprint, including the potential establishment of an office in Uzbekistan.

Homestyler is a leading Chinese technology enterprise that provides a subscription-based cloud platform for 3D interior design, enabling users—from professional designers and architects to private consumers—to create photorealistic interior renderings online. The company currently boasts 17 million global users, including more than 1 million across CIS countries.

XNode: Startup Development and Innovation Exchange

The delegation also held discussions with Lei Niu, Vice President of XNode, regarding the establishment of a joint innovation hub in Shanghai in collaboration with Astana Hub. The initiative aims to support Uzbek startups entering the Chinese market, while also encouraging Chinese tech companies to explore outsourcing and collaborative opportunities in Uzbekistan.

XNode is a prominent Chinese innovation hub specializing in startup acceleration and corporate innovation. The company cooperates with international partners and technology corporations to create an ecosystem for the growth of technology projects.

Concluding the visit, IT Park CEO Abdulakhad Kuchkarov met with Sherzod Narzullaev, Consul of Uzbekistan in Shanghai. During the meeting, the Consul reaffirmed his support for IT Park’s initiatives and shared updates on the growing prospects for Uzbekistan-China cooperation in the field of ICT.

This visit marked a significant step toward strengthening Uzbekistan’s international cooperation and attracting technological investment into the country. Engagements with leading companies and institutions underscored the strong interest in the Uzbek market and outlined concrete avenues for future collaboration in digital solutions, outsourcing, and startup-driven innovation.
