IT Park Uzbekistan Presents Investment Opportunities During Visit to the UAE

The delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan, led by CEO Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, conducted a series of strategic meetings in Dubai with representatives of leading technology firms, educational institutions, and government entities. The visit took place within the framework of the Dubai Fintech Summit 2025 — an international event convening global leaders in the fintech sector.

Organized by the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) under the patronage Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the summit served as a significant platform for IT Park to showcase Uzbekistan’s fintech ecosystem, forge new business connections, and gain insights into advanced practices in digital transformation. The event brought together over 8,000 industry professionals, more than 1,500 investors, and 200 fintech companies representing over 100 countries. Particular emphasis was placed on developments in artificial intelligence in finance, blockchain technologies, digital regulation, and sustainable development.

As part of the delegation’s agenda, IT Park representatives conducted more than 10 high-level meetings with key stakeholders in Dubai’s digital economy. Notably, discussions with representatives of AI Academy DIFC — an educational platform dedicated to training professionals in artificial intelligence, focused on the potential for launching joint academic initiatives, delivering practical training modules, and supporting AI startups on the international stage.

Special emphasis was placed on strengthening ties with Dubai’s innovation hubs. During a meeting with Mr. Mohammed Alblooshi, Director of Business Development at the DIFC Innovation Hub, the parties explored potential avenues for collaboration in the fields of startup innovation, acceleration programs, and investment attraction. The dialogue included discussions on organizing a joint international event aimed at enhancing the investment climate and fostering innovation-driven entrepreneurship between Uzbekistan and the Gulf countries. Furthermore, potential collaborative projects with AI Academy and Ignyte were reviewed.

Another significant component of the visit was the engagement with Digital Dubai, the principal government entity responsible for steering the Emirate’s digital transformation. Discussions centered around the deployment of digital solutions, support mechanisms for startups, and knowledge exchange in the sphere of e-government. The meeting concluded with an agreement to initiate collaborative projects and structured experience-sharing programs.

Representatives of Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), one of the UAE’s largest and technology clusters, also expressed strong interest in cooperation. Discussions addressed startup exchange programs, the organization of joint events, and the development of collaborative initiatives between DSO and IT Park.

An additional highlight of the visit was the engagement with LAB EXPERIENCE, a global consulting firm specializing in the development of customer and user experience solutions. Discussions focused on the potential implementation of training and certification programs in Uzbekistan, aimed at enhancing the quality of digital and service offerings.

Negotiations were also held with representatives of CBI Bank and Giovanni Everduin, Advisor to the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The parties exchanged perspectives on fintech integration and digital transformation in the banking sector, identifying potential areas for future collaboration.

Furthermore, a meeting was conducted with Maxcient Technologies, a prominent provider of ERP, CRM, and business process automation solutions. The company expressed a strong interest in opening a representative office in Uzbekistan and committed to further assessing the local market’s potential.

The delegation also devoted significant attention to the topic of digital infrastructure. During a meeting with Syed Bukhari, Head of Remittance Operations at the UK-based fintech company Guavapay Group, discussions were held on opportunities for the implementation of advanced payment solutions in Uzbekistan.

The discussions explored potential frameworks for collaboration in the areas of cross-border remittance, digital wallets, and the integration with local financial systems. Representatives of Guavapay recognized Uzbekistan’s emerging role as a promising market for innovative fintech solutions and conveyed their interest in establishing a long-term strategic partnership.

The business agenda concluded with the delegation’s participation in the Governor’s Reception, a formal event hosted by the Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). In the course of informal exchanges with the head of the center, the parties explored the advantages of the IT Park ecosystem, the scope of government-led support mechanisms for startups and IT companies, and prospective formats for strategic cooperation.

Additionally, during the summit, the CEO of IT Park held meetings with representatives of Uzbek companies — members of IT Park — participating in the event, including FlexSoft, Oson, IT Academy, Hamkorbank, BRB Tech, among others. Discussions focused on the promotion of their products in international markets and avenues for further institutional support.

The meetings conducted during the visit represented a significant step towards strengthening IT Park Uzbekistan’s international presence and establishing sustainable channels of engagement with key stakeholders in the global technology and investment ecosystem.

The visit to Dubai further reinforced IT Park’s standing on the international stage, reflecting the growing interest of foreign partners in advancing cooperation with Uzbekistan across information technology, innovation, education, and digital transformation.
