Korean WiseStone-T Opens Office in Uzbekistan

A delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan, led by CEO Farkhod Ibragimov, held a meeting with representatives of WiseStone-T, headed by CEO Kim In Sok. The primary agenda of the meeting was the establishment of a WiseStone-T’s office in Uzbekistan, alongside the companys plans for business expansion and recruitment of local talent.  

WiseStone stands as one of South Koreaʼs preeminent enterprises, boasting offices in China and Vietnam, with its inception dating back to 2007. As a subsidiary company headquartered in Seoul, WiseStone-T specializes in testing services, the sale of technology solutions tailored to clientsʼ needs, as well as consultation pertaining to quality assurance and control. Presently, the company boasts a workforce exceeding 400 personnel.

Discussions with WiseStone-T have been ongoing since April, during which the Korean delegation have explored the Uzbek IT market, familiarized themselves with local infrastructure, and assessed the availability of skilled professionals. Initial interviews were held with local candidates, evaluating their qualifications and the strategy for attracting specialists.     

The company representatives highlighted that the professionalism and skill levels of local specialists meet the international standards adhered to by WiseStone-T. They also acknowledged the fluency of local professionals in both English and Korean.

The meeting further explored the opportunities for knowledge exchange and the implementation of training programs aimed at enhancing the qualifications of local employees, thus strengthening the talent pool in the region.

Currently, Wisestone-T is in the process of registering its office in Uzbekistan and setting up its facilities. The company plans to involve management staff from its headquarters in Korea to oversee the office’s establishment. The official opening of the office is scheduled for January 2025, offering IT and product testing services to WiseStone-T.  

The opening of WiseStone-T’s office in Uzbekistan is poised to be a significant milestone in the development of the country’s IT industry, generating new employment opportunities for local professionals and fostering deeper business connections between Uzbekistan and South Korea. Moreover, engagement in international-level projects will bolster the competitiveness and qualifications of local specialists, increasing their demand on the global market.
