Samarkand hosts UN Public Service Forum

On June 23, the opening ceremony of the UN Public Service Forum (UNPSF 2025) was held in Samarkand with the support of the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva.

This year's forum was dedicated to the theme "Five years until 2030: Accelerating the provision of public services for a sustainable future."

The forum brought together ministers and heads of government agencies from Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa, including small states such as Samoa and Bhutan. Representatives of international and regional organizations, academia, civil society, the private sector, and innovation leaders are also participating.



Also, within the framework of the forum, the Ministry of Digital Technologies won the "Assessment of the Effectiveness of the Activities of State Bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan" program.

According to the results of the second cycle of awards, about 140 participants from 17 ministries and agencies of our country took part in the competition. Evaluation was conducted in 8 nominations. 43 experts and assessors from the UAE and 22 specialists from the UAE were involved in the process.

Within the framework of the forum, plenary sessions, thematic discussions, strategic dialogues, and presentations of best practices will also take place.  The Samarkand Ministerial Declaration, aimed at strengthening international cooperation, especially the exchange of experience between developing countries, and promoting equal and fair access to public services, was also discussed.
