The hackathon “Astrumhack” was held at Astrum IT Academy

On March 11-13, 2022, the hackathon “Astrumhack” was held at Astrum IT Academy, organized by IT Park, Astrum IT Academy, as well as the telecommunications holding VEON group, Beeline Uzbekistan and Mountain Dew.

The hackathon was attended by 600 participants who formed more than 90 teams.  Of these, 51 projects made it to the semi-final, and 10 of them were selected to the final.

Among the participants were:

  - 10% designers;

  - 30% managers;

  - 60% programmers.

In addition, 60% of the participants were from Tashkent, while the remaining 40% were from other regions.

Participants were given 7 business areas to create a digital product and solve a problem, namely:

  - travel and tourism;

  - finance;

  - ecology;

  - agriculture;

  - work with personnel;

  - an additional task from Astrum IT Academy – student coordination.

  As a result, the winners of the hackathon were:

  1st place – “Phoenix” team with the project “Agro Dash” (digital eco farming system);

  2nd place – “Avocados” team with the project “Where to go!”  (tinder to search for offline entertainment);

  3rd place – “Sehriyo” team with the project “Sehriyo Capsule” (a smart pillbox in conjunction with a smartphone that will not let you forget to take your medicine on time).

 The prize fund of the hackathon amounted to 45 million soums. The winners also received gifts in the form of three Ipads from Beeline Uzbekistan.
