The Urgench branch of TUIT held the competition "Start-up Projects"

On December 7, 2021, the Urgench branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies was named after Muhammad al-Khorezmi under the leadership of IT Park with the support of the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications held the "Start-up Projects" competition with a prize fund of 6,000,000 soums.

Students of the Urgench branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies submitted 32 applications, 18 of which were admitted to the competition. The members of the jury were Deputy Rector for Research and Innovation Ismailova Sh.Kh., Candidate of Economic Sciences Timur Khudayberganov, and others.

During the competition, various innovative projects were presented, of which the following winners were identified:

• 1st place: project IVA, which implies the development of a special support system for security personnel when working with the search for wanted persons;
• 2nd place: the RoboLab project, the main goal of which is to create a robotics laboratory;
• 3rd place: DeFood project to develop a mobile application for the timely delivery of food.

At the end of the competition, the participants were awarded certificates of honor from the rector of the Urgench branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies Maksudbek Baydanov, as well as cash prizes for the winners. In particular, the authors of innovative projects received the necessary advice and suggestions from the jury members for the effective implementation and successful implementation of the developments.

It should be noted that the university administration plans to hold many such IT competitions to encourage the potential of students and increase their level of interest in information technology.
