Tumaris Tech has become a winner of the international competition “WomenTech Global Awards 2020”!

The Tumaris Tech project which is aimed at supporting female tech entrepreneurship in the IT field in Uzbekistan became one of the finalists of the international competition WomenTech Global Awards 2020 and took the third place!

Recently, WomenTech Network has announced the finalists of the last awards ceremony, where projects from over 150 countries took part.


WomenTech is the world's largest technology community for women with over 4,300 ambassadors representing 181 countries. The community has announced Tumaris Tech as a finalist of the largest virtual technology celebration of the WomenTech Global Awards 2020 for women live on December 3, 2020 in 16 time zones.

Tumaris Tech took third place among the finalists in the “Upskill and Reskill program of the Year” category for the contribution it made to the development of women's entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan and for the idea to show the whole society all the internal potential that lies in the girls of our country.

In total, 2,238 participants from 153 countries took part in the competition in 22 nominations. The competition lasted from October to December 2020. The projects were evaluated by the vote of the audience and jury members.

The jury included:

- The digital strategist and startup mentor, an assistant to women founders in starting and developing their businesses around the world, the Director of Global Marketing at the “Founder Institute”, Rachel Sheppard;

- The founder of “Black Professionals In Intelligent Automation”, Alionna Gardner;

- The General Director and the founder of “LinkUpConferenceShow”, Anna Degtereva;

- The leader of “Lean-Agile”, scientist Angela Maragopoulou;

- Specialist in adaptive culture, contributor to Forbes, Annette White-Klososky;

- The business Angel, Startup Expert, Christina Forsgård

- And other tech specialists.

It is worth noting that IT Park in the collaboration with the USAID Entrepreneurship and Business Environment Development Project, launched the Tumaris Tech project to support female tech entrepreneurship in the IT sector in Uzbekistan, within the framework of which women receive support in the development of their start-up projects. Particularly, the projects go through free incubation and acceleration programs, thanks to which the participants acquire skills for further development.

The project is aimed at strengthening the involvement of women in the ICT ecosystem: from the development of BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) by providing education for women who want to work as freelancers, to the development of startups and investment training.
