Uzbekistan Digital Inclusion results: over 450 participants from 9 regions completed soft skills training

In July, the first regional training sessions under the Uzbekistan Digital Inclusion project — organized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies, IT Park Uzbekistan, and the World Bank — were successfully conducted. The program engaged more than 450 participants from 9 regions of the country. The primary target group comprised young people between the ages of 18 and 30, including women and persons with disabilities.

The Uzbekistan Digital Inclusion initiative is designed to strengthen the digital and social competencies of young people, broaden employment opportunities, and promote inclusivity in both education and the labor market. By reaching regions across the country, the program contributes to the creation of equal opportunities for all participants.

The training curriculum encompassed the development of essential skills, including effective verbal and non-verbal communication, teamwork and time management, business correspondence, interview preparation and self-presentation, as well as professional etiquette for remote work. In addition, a dedicated module introduced the practical application of generative artificial intelligence for résumé preparation.

Participants actively engaged in group exercises, discussions, and applied case studies. Feedback indicated that the sessions enhanced their ability to prepare professional résumés and approach interviews with greater confidence. The inclusion of persons with disabilities served as a key element of the program, underscoring its commitment to inclusivity.

The results of the first training sessions highlighted a high level of interest in soft skills development. Serving as a pilot phase, this stage confirmed the significance of the project, with feedback and outcomes to be used in refining subsequent sessions. The broader campaign will continue from September through December, extending its coverage to additional regions and participants.
