Uzbekistan took second place at the Balatech International Olympiad!

Last February, the organizers of the Balatech International Olympiad announced an additional round for which $5,000 was allocated.

*Recall that the additional round was organized in connection with the increased cases of collisions of participants with technical problems in the process of completing tasks.

It is also worth noting that in the main round Uzbekistan managed to take 2nd place with 49 winners: 6 silver and 43 bronze medals.

By division into categories:

 Among students in grades 5–7: 15 prizes;

 Among students in grades 8–9: 21 prizes;

 Among students in grades 10–11: 13 prizes.

 The total number of people who registered for the Olympiad was more than 60,000, of which 25% (15,000 people) are participants from Uzbekistan.  Of these, 2,200 participants went to the Olympiad itself, of which 34% (742 people) are representatives of our country.

 According to the results of the additional round, Uzbekistan received 3 gold medals, 4 silver and 5 bronze.

The first place in the main round was taken by the Kyrgyz Republic with 102 prize-winners, the third by the Republic of Kazakhstan with 14 prizes, followed by the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan with 15 overall prizes.  A total of 189 prizes were drawn.
