Winners of Hack4Region 2022 in Samarkand announced

The Hack4Region 2022 hackathon, organized by IT Park together with the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, has ended in Samarkand.

A hackathon is a time-limited competition in which teams need to create a product prototype or start-up project within a certain time frame.

The competition was held from December 21 to 23 in the Samarkand branch of IT Park.  In total, about 90 participants were registered for the hackathon, of which 28 teams were formed.

According to the results of the jury's evaluations, the following teams became the winners:

 • 1st rank: project "Aqilli hassa" (an assistant for visually impaired people. It informs its owner about the presence of obstacles on the roads);

 • 2nd: project "Boshpana uz" (a platform where you can place ads about finding housing or renting it out);

 • 3rd: SearchOptimizer project (helps to find more information in Uzbek and provides the user with the necessary information).

The winners received valuable prizes from the organizers.

The event took place as part of an incubation program supported by the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan.
