3-day SAP International Ideathon Central Asia 2022 wraps up

An international ideathon for students - SAP International IDEATHON CENTRAL ASIA 2022  that took place 9 to 11 September at the University of Inha in Tashkent came to an end. The event was organized by the University of Inha and SAP with the support of SAP University Alliance and IT PARK.

The contest is a platform where participants come up with ideas of projects on a given topic, pitch them to the judges and receive feedback.

The task of the ideathon was to develop a platform or guide for the development of technological entrepreneurship, as well as small and large IT business in Uzbekistan.

The participants of the event were mainly students of Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, and other countries. In total, eight teams of 3-5 people from various universities presented their results for an expert jury consisting of representatives of IT Park, SAP, Ey, Epam, AGMK and IUT.

A three-day marathon has provided the opportunity to participants to work in a bundle with global and local experts, involve in the problem of technological entrepreneurship, and also get acquainted with SAP platform solutions. Also, SAP representatives and the SAP University Alliance within International Ideathon Central Asia 2022 introduced students with Stanford Methodology of Design Thinking.

According to the results, winners are as follows: 
•1st rank - Team TOKS (students of IUT and TSUE). They offered a platform for supporting IT-specialist relocation program to Uzbekistan, which provides complete and relevant information for rapid integration to start a new life in a new country;

• 2nd rank - HOJA team with the app Fireman (IUT students). They suggested a dashboard for project managers and Tim / devop leads for the timely identification of burnout in IT professionals; 

• 3rd rank - ITHACK team (students of the Belarusian State University, IUT and MGIMO). Their application allows IT PARK residents to produce temporary hiring of well qualified specialists on system integration projects.

The winners received memorable prizes from the organizers.
