On November 24, a delegation of journalists from Tajikistan visited IT Park.
The guests were introduced to the activities of IT Park, tax preferences and benefits provided for local and international IT-companies, and also talked about the results achieved in terms of exporting IT-services, projects in the field of IT-education and the development of IT-infrastructure in the republic.
Also, the representatives of the delegation were told about the formation of Uzbekistan as a new regional IT-hub, emphasizing the presence in the country of all the necessary conditions and the support provided by the government. Thus, the legislation corresponding to international standards, the necessary modern infrastructure, tax and customs benefits, as well as the development of education in the field of IT and much more were mentioned.
In addition, the guests were told about the significant achievements of IT Park in terms of increasing the volume of exports of resident companies and the number of residents; a large-scale project for online training in IT-bases “One Million Uzbek Coders” implemented in the republic, thanks to which 2,503,060 people received a fundamental IT-education, and projects to support and attract women and youth to IT.
After the main part of the presentation, the guests were given a tour of the IT Park complex. In particular, foreign journalists visited the building of Aloqabank and AloqaVentures, where they were told about various projects and programs financed by the companies. The program AloqaTech Lab launched by IT Park, Commercial Bank Aloqabank and Aloqaventures Venture Fund was especially noted. This is a three-month corporate accelerator that includes expert support, as well as technical, financial and marketing support measures to launch projects.
