Apple was invited to implement ApplePay in Uzbekistan

During their visit to the USA, the Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov, the Deputy Minister of Education Rustam Karimjonov and the Director of IT Park Farhod Ibragimov met with the head of Apple's public relations department.

At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between the company and the Ministry of ICT.

In addition, during the negotiations, the parties paid attention to expanding Apple's activities in Uzbekistan, including making it possible to use the iPhone in existing 5G networks and expanding opportunities for local developers in the Appstore.

Representatives of the company were invited to cooperate on the implementation of ApplePay in Uzbekistan and the promotion of the Swift programming language.
