Delegation from Azerbaijan visited IT Park

From May 16 to May 19, a delegation from Azerbaijan, consisting of 16 participants, was on a working visit to Uzbekistan. As part of the Caspian Energy forum, member companies of the Caspian Energy Club visited exhibitions, industrial parks and enterprises in Uzbekistan to get acquainted with the investment potential and business climate of the country.

During the working visit, Chairman of Caspian Energy Uzbekistan Tehran Aliyev and Chairman of Energy for business Rasim Makhmudov also visited the office of IT Park.

The guests were welcomed by Deputy Director of IT Park Jakhongir Rajabov and Head of Investment and International Relations Department of IT Park Nigora Mirdzhalilova.

The purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the activities of IT Park and consider issues related to the development of a startup ecosystem in Uzbekistan and the IT education sector.

Nigora Mirdzhalilova presented the activities of the organization, talking about its goals and achievements. She emphasized the importance of the work of IT Park in the development of the IT industry in Uzbekistan.

The guests were interested in educational projects being developed in IT Park, as well as in the issues of personnel training in the IT sector. They were told about existing programs, courses, online and offline learning, and were introduced to the Coursera project and ITPU University.

During the meeting, the guests were presented with an overview of the development of the startup ecosystem in Uzbekistan and resident companies that are developing projects in the IT Park. Questions were raised about preferences for residents and issues of development of startups. The participants discussed the role of IT Park in the development of the IT industry in Uzbekistan, as well as opportunities for international cooperation in this area. The meeting ended with a tour around the territory of IT Park.
