Director of IT Park took part in the international conference "FinTech Uzbekistan"

On May 7, 2021, an international conference "FinTech Uzbekistan" was held, dedicated to the development of the financial technology market in the Republic of Uzbekistan and new global trends in the industry.

The conference was attended by local and international highly qualified specialists, as well as IT experts and not only, but in particular, IT Park Director Farhod Ibragimov, “Uzcard” General Director Farrukh Ziyayev, “Uzcard” Corporate Innovation Director Dilshod Zufarov, Head of “FinExtra Group” Nargis Dusmatova, Head of International Projects Department of “Tinkoff Bank” Olga Yashenina and others.

During the event, the participants were able to listen to the presentation of the corporate fintech accelerator of the “Uzcard Ventures” venture fund and witness the launch of an open API-interface for the residents of the accelerator.

In addition, speakers and other participants of the event discussed the development of the financial technology market in the Republic of Uzbekistan, global trends in Fintech industry, took part in a panel discussion on the topic: “Development of fintech market and non-cash payments in Uzbekistan”.

“I think that having an accelerator in the field of financial technologies, work in other industries will develop at a different pace. For example, having the ability to pay through p2p transfers or mobile phones, which was unrealistic for us 10 years ago, gave rise to many new services in the republic in various industries. Therefore, the first step towards preparing a new generation of projects, start-ups in financial technologies has already been taken”, said Farhod Ibragimov.

At the end of the event, all participants had the opportunity to ask all questions they were interested in to the speakers and receive detailed and comprehensive answers.
