Eventful April: what kinds of events are conducted by IT Park branch in Syrdarya this month?

The most important asset of modern Uzbekistan is human resources. Over 60 percent of our population is under the age of 29. Therefore, it is crucial to strengthen the position of young people in society as well as to get promising, relevant and intellectual professions.

To achieve it, in the first place, we need to create conditions for teaching IT to youth.The IT Park branch in Syrdarya worked hard in April within the framework of two perspective projects “One Million Uzbek Coders” and “Istiqbolli IT-Loyihalari”.

As a part of the “One Million Uzbek Coders” project, several events were held in Mirzaabad and Gulistan districs, and also in Gulistan city. Overall, 500 young people, who are caring a lot about the IT sphere and striving to become IT specialists, participated in the events.

With the aim of arising the interest of youth in the IT sphere, IT Park with the IT Park branch in Syrdarya and the khokimiyat of Syrdarya region organized a contest “Istiqbolli IT-Loyihalari”.

The main aim of the contest was to support youth and arise their interest in the IT sphere. The contestants presented their projects in the fields of healthcare, education, sports, culture and robotics.

The contest was held in Mirzaabad, Okolta, Gulistan, Saykhunabad, Khavass, Bayaut districts, as well as in cities such as: Syrdarya, Yangiyer and Gulistan.

Overall, 110 projects from all cities and regions partook in the IT contest, 27 of which won in the district stage. The participants who won prizes of honor had the opportunity to participate in the regional stage.

In the end, the projects presented by the participants were approved by the khokimiyat, after which it was decided to use the funds of the youth fund for the further development of their projects.

The events held as part of the activities of the IT Park branch in Syrdarya will allow the residents of the region to get involved in the field of information technology and reveal their inner potential.
