Faces of IT Park: Ilkhom Juraev — Chief Manager of the Educational Projects Department

We continue to acquaint you to the IT Park Uzbekistan team in our permanent column “Faces of IT Park”. In this edition, we present to you Ilkhom Juraev, who has successfully completed his education in the field of telecommunications at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies.

Currently, Ilkhom is employed as the Chief Manager for Government Relations in the Department of Educational Projects.

How did you end up at IT Park?

I joined the IT Park team in 2021 as a Regional Manager. I chose IT Park because I saw the organization's development potential. Moreover, I recognized that I could grow as a specialist here.

Currently, my responsibilities encompass handling documentation, managing projects, and liaising with governmental bodies. I also conduct interviews with individuals aspiring to work or study in the field of information technology. Additionally, I participate in television programs, organize events, and undertake business trips.

Why specifically IT Park?

For me, IT Park symbolizes the bright future of our country. The organization actively engages in the creation of interesting and vital projects for society, fostering the development of the IT sector. It is here that new ideas and opportunities for positive change in Uzbekistan are born. For instance, thanks to the One Million Uzbek Coders (OMUC) project, over a million individuals have received free education in various fields. This serves as a noteworthy example of how IT Park undertakes essential projects for our society.

I am delighted to be a part of this extensive and close-knit family. At the outset, I encountered certain challenges, yet they served as motivation for me to strive towards my goals. My colleagues inspire me in my work. We constitute a cohesive and unified team, where everyone supports one another. The office environment is imbued with a positive atmosphere, characterized by mutual understanding and support, which is crucial for successful and productive work.

What are your thoughts on the IT sector in Uzbekistan?

Uzbekistan is progressing along the path of IT technology development. It heartens me that our government is creating conducive conditions for the advancement of the IT sector, along with generating a substantial number of job opportunities within this industry. The country is actively investing in the training of IT specialists, establishing new educational institutions specializing specifically in IT.

IT Park holds a pivotal role within this trajectory. It provides numerous opportunities for development and professional growth. It's not without reason that many foreign companies opt for collaboration and investment in IT Park.

About leisure time

I really love spending time amidst nature. One of my passions is mountain hiking. Alongside friends, we explore remote trails, conquer lofty peaks, and revel in the vistas. These journeys have imparted me in surmounting any challenge and bring inner harmony.

Moreover, I cherish voyaging and watching films. Novel destinations and acquaintances invariably bring joy and broaden horizons, while cinema allows not only relaxation and amusement, but also to immerse in other realms and undergo diverse emotions.
