First Demo Day of startup projects from IT Park

On December 14, 2019, the first ever Demo Day of IT Park acceleration and incubation program graduates took place at Inha University in Tashkent.

Demo Day is deemed as the final event of the 12-week acceleration and incubation training program, which was first-ever being held at IT Park. The viewers had a chance to watch the presentation of startup projects for a few hours in front of the best IT investors, where in 15 minutes each graduate talked about necessity of the product he offered to the target audience, the project economics and business model.

In order to provide in-depth support in the development of small and medium class enterprises in the field of information technology, startup ecosystem evolution, IT Park arranges incubation and acceleration programs focused on turning the project idea into a full-scale commercial product.

Over a period of 3 months spent in IT Park incubation and acceleration program, the startup teams had gone through 22 theoretical lectures, more than 2 weeks of field product and hypothesis testing, participated in the meetings with potential investors, as well as carried out fruitful work with consultants and experts from the Uzbekistan IT sector, gaining experience from the world's leading technology parks, learning business models, PR, the art of business presentation, developing marketing and financial plans in order to be capable of addressing own presentations. In fact, the main purpose of Demo Day is the presentation of innovative projects to local and foreign investors and venture funds in order to attract investment and obtain expert advice.

In the scope of the first season related to the above-mentioned programs, summarizing the results of projects consideration and team presentations by the Advisory Council, 15 projects out of 103 applicants had been selected, and 9 of them solely included in the incubation program and 6 in the acceleration program.

            Projects have been selected in the following fields: E-commerce - 8 projects; Medical Technologies (Medtech) - 3 projects; Financial Technologies (Fintech) - 1 project; Agro Technologies (Agrotech) - 1 project; The Internet of Things (IoT) - 2 projects.

Minister of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Sadykov, IT Park Director Farhod Ibragimov, founder of the Paynet payment system, Lebazar.uz online shop and Technobiz Botir Arifjanov, as well as IT Park startup teams and partner startup projects attended the event.

In the final stage teams like: LockerPost (an innovative parcel delivery service), Patient Monitor (a comprehensive system for patients that allows to detect deterioration of patients in advance), AydaTuda (the service that allows user to familiarize oneself with the upcoming events in Tashkent, contact the organizers, get all the detailed information), Revizor (a feedback platform for business owners), Worklance (a platform for freelancers that helps companies find qualified and highly skilled employees), Delivera (an online access service ke food), Fastago (software solution (API, web platform) for retailers (online stores, marketplaces, etc.) to make delivery simple and affordable), Agromat (IT solutions for high-quality advice to farmers in rural areas), Passport Scanner (a product that automates the data input from identity cards (passport, biometric passport, rights, etc.) to fill out forms in applications), Meteostation (mobile IOT weather station for monitoring weather conditions on the field), SlickTag (advanced technologies for retail) , Arzon Apteka (city pharmacies database of Tashkent), Marta (a software platform that makes it possible to accept cashless payments via Visa and MasterCard via a smartphone), EduMarket (an educational platform for schoolchildren), MyTaxi (taxi service), Express24 (food delivery service), Workly (automated time tracking system) .

It’s worth reminding that call for applications for the second season of IT Park incubation and acceleration programs is currently open and it’s expected  to end on January 1, 2019.


IT Park is a compound of facilties, buildings, structures and equipment that are designed to ensure the launch and release of promising startup projects to the market, in particular, through integration with scientific and educational organizations.
