First Digital Technology Training Center opened in Kashkadarya region

On February 26, the first Digital Technology Training Center has been opened in the Kasby district located in Kashkadarya region. The building of an empty telephone exchange was allocated for the Center that was belonged to the Kashkadarya branch of “Uzbektelecom” JSC. The entirely restored premise is now equipped with the needed facility and technologies for the full functioning.

In particular, in the lecture halls and computerized classrooms of the Center, youth and staff of telecommunication enterprises will be trained for:

  • introduction of new technologies;
  • the basics of innovative entrepreneurship and e-commerce;
  • the creation of modern and effective mechanisms to support IT projects, computer technology;

All the required conditions for teaching the basics of programming, robotics and e-sports have also been facilitated.

Special attention in the Center will be set on teaching English language to developers to expand outsourcing services and career guidance for employees of state institutions.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Kasby region mayor Tukhtamurod Meiliev, the head of the territorial department of the ministry Sanjar Aripov, the director of the IT center Nodir Alibekov, public figures, representatives of state educational institutions, IT organizations and companies, as well as students.

The third direction of the five initiatives set forward by the President of Uzbekistan is dedicated to training the population and youth to effectively use of computer technology and the Internet. According to the goals made ahead, it is planned to open 188 such centers in the Republic, 23 has become the Digital Technology Education Center in Kashkadarya.
