Google's Solution Challenge Preparation Program kicks off

IT Park and GDG Tashkent, with the support of Uzum and Digital-operator Beeline Uzbekistan, are about to launch a prep program in Tashkent to get ready for the Solution Challenge.

The Solution Challenge is an annual competition for students offered by Google to create a solution to a local problem using Google technologies in line with one or more of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The preparatory program has been launched to help projects from Uzbekistan reach the top 10 Solution Challenge finalists around the world.  It includes workshops, mentor sessions and feedback sessions.  The events will take place in a mixed format.

The workshops will be led by experts from Google where speakers will tell in more detail what Google resources can be used within the projects and how to use them, and reply to participants' questions. The workshops will also feature the winners of last year's competitions.

At the mentoring sessions, participants will receive valuable advice from leading experts, which will help to adjust projects and get a unique opportunity to develop their skills and spark with ideas.

Feedback sessions are a great way to get the feedback one needs to improve their project. Feedback meetings will be the final event of the preparatory stage, following this registration for the contest will open.

Activities as part of the preparatory program will start at the end of February. One can start working on projects today by registering for the competition, and applications for the Solution Challenge will be available from March 17 to March 31, 2023.
