How was the BPO summit held as part of ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2022?

The largest event in the IT sphere of Uzbekistan ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2022 started in Samarkand on October 24.  On the second day of the ICT Week, October 25, BPO summit was held by IT Park.

Why was the summit held?

The purpose of the summit is to help guests learn about IT investments, IT outsourcing and new opportunities to receive orders from abroad.

So, for those who have been thinking about investing in IT for a long time, but it seems difficult, the direction of IT-outsourcing in terms of BPO is an ideal option to start.  Those who already have BPO-company and have a desire to receive new large orders from abroad, or increase the volume of IT services provided and exported, were told at the summit how to improve work in this direction in order to achieve great results.  Moreover, the participants had the opportunity to communicate directly with the largest investors and customers in the BPO field, improve their networking and find new large-scale orders.

In order to discuss the topical issue of IT-outsourcing, representatives of BPO companies from a number of countries arrived, including the USA, Canada, the Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Belarus, Bangladesh, Italy, etc. Uzbekistan was represented by the management, specialists and residents of IT Park,  as well as guests who are not indifferent to this direction.

What was interesting at the summit?

The summit was attended by dozens of investors and customers from almost all continents of the world!

They told the guests how and why to start a business in BPO, where to find and how to train BPO specialists, and also shared insiders where you can get technical and financial support for BPO companies.

Within the framework of the summit, statistics and a study of the IT-market of Uzbekistan, indicators in the field of export of IT services, the World Bankʼs project Digital Inclusion in Uzbekistan were presented.

In addition, during the event, a panel discussion was held on the topic Key factors for a successful global BPO business, which was attended by major players in the international IT outsourcing market and representatives of international organizations.

Among them are Director of FIFO Tech Towhid Hossain Managing (Bangladesh), Vice President of Assured Partners Transportation Kenneth Lacey (USA), Director of Legal Affairs of STPI Sanjay Tyagi (India) and others.
