Incubation centers in universities: the first wave of education!

With the support of IT Park, it is planned to open incubation centers in a number of universities in Tashkent for students wishing to create their own innovative projects and develop them.

The main goal of creating incubation centers at higher educational institutions is to increase the quality and number of innovative projects created among talented youth. The incubation center, in turn, will create favorable conditions for students for the emergence of effective activities of small innovative projects that implement original scientific and technical ideas.

More recently representatives of 9 Universities took part in the first wave of training of incubation centers coordinators at higher educational institutions from IT Park:

1. Tashkent University of information technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorazmiy 
2. The Amity University in the city of Tashkent
3. Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent
4. Westminster international University in Tashkent
5. Singapore Institute of management development in Tashkent
6. Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Tashkent
7. Tashkent state University of Economics
8. Tashkent financial Institute
9. Uzbek state University of world languages

During the training, the coordinators learned how to organize and conduct incubation and acceleration programs, various startup events, properly coordinate the center's premises and resources, work with the startup database, consult startup projects, use IT tools, and much more. 

The training was also attended by international experts who presented their experience of incubation centers:

- Mikhail Erman, head of the incubation center at the national research University "Higher school of Economics";

- Alim Khamitov, founder of the most business incubator in Kazakhstan;

- Peter Fedin, a methodologist in itsolschool.ru and 20.35 University, tracker;

- Nadezhda Yanushkevich, head of IT education development at the company croc.ru and the representative of the intensive 20.35 University;

- Bolat Sultangazin, head of the incubation center at Nazarbayev University in Kazakhstan.

It is also worth adding that the long-term goals and objectives of incubation centers are:

- development of the country's economy;
- development of high innovative technologies in Uzbekistan;
- development of small business innovation orientation, providing favorable conditions for conducting project activities for students;
- establishing links between students and experienced professionals;
- the creation of new jobs.

The incubation center is designed to commercialize innovative developments of students from the "idea" to the beginning of production and the first successful sales.

Very soon, the first student incubation centers will start functioning in the country's Universities, which will show the first fruits and results of students in the form of interesting and useful innovative projects for society.  The first programs are planned to be held online.
