IT Park and OSCE: discussing ICT development and IT human resources support

On June 20, Mr. Ambassador and Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities Igli Hasani and OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan Umid Pulatov visited IT Park Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss future cooperation with IT Park, discuss womenʼs startups and Tumaris Tech, as well as get acquainted with the direction of ICT in Uzbekistan.

The guests were welcomed by Executive Director of IT Park Uzbekistan Abdulahad Kuchkarov, Deputy General Director for Innovation Jahongir Radjabov, Head of Department for International Relations and Investment Nigora Mirdjalilova, as well as Advisor for International Cooperation and Project Support Rustam Sulaymonov.

Representatives of IT Park presented the activities of the organization, highlighting its goals and achievements, and spoke about the role of IT Park in promoting the development of the IT industry in Uzbekistan.

Igli Hasani noted the development of the ICT direction in Uzbekistan, emphasizing that the programs for the development of women's entrepreneurship in the country are among the best over the past year.  

The parties discussed the issues of training IT personnel, in particular, among people with special needs. The guests were told about the IT courses organized for people with hearing and speech problems in the Tashkent branch of IT Park.

The activities of the IT Park in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, as well as departments involved in the development of the startup ecosystem and digital transformation were presented at the meeting. Additionally, representatives of IT Park shared information about completed projects, including hackathons, startup battles and meetups with the participation of invited foreign experts.
