IT Park announces a «Students Cup» competition for students

IT Park in collaboration with the incubation centers in universities and Dubai Future Foundation is launching the Students Cup competition among the students of 8 universities in Tashkent.

The main aim of the competition is to develop entrepreneurship and a startup ecosystem among students.

Which universities’ students can participate in the competition?

1) Tashkent University of Information Technologies

2) Tashkent Financial Institute

3) Tashkent State Economic University

4) Inha University in Tashkent

5) Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent 

6) Amity University in Tashkent

7) Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Tashkent

8) Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent

If you are a student of one of these universities, you have the opportunity to become the participant of the competition and compete for a prize fund of $30,000.

At the first stage, there will be selected 2 best startups from each university, which will compete with the startups of other universities’ incubation centers for the main prize.

Project evaluation criteria:

- The relevance of the proposed startup project;

- Innovative technological focus and novelty of the startup project idea;

- Assessment of the achievability of the results of a startup project;

- Assessment of the demand for a product or service on the market;

- Prospects for the commercialization of a startup project;

- Assessment of potential competitive advantages of the project;

- Investment attractiveness of the project;

- Economic efficiency of the project.

The 3 best projects which will win the inter-university stage of the competition will receive a reward in the amount of:

1st place - $15,000

2nd place - $10,000

3rd place - $5,000

Final of the "Students Cup" will be held on December 12, 2020
