On February 18, 2020, IT Park CEO Farkhod Ibragimov spoke at an international conference on the topic titled: “A new stage of state and public construction in Uzbekistan, enhancing the role of the Parliament and representative bodies in the country democratic modernization.”

The forum is settled by the Senate and the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis in partnership with the “Yuksalish” National Movement and the representative office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Central Asia.

The members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and deputies of the Legislative Chamber, representatives of local governments, ministries and departments, the judiciary, law enforcement agencies, civil society institutions, media representatives, heads of diplomatic missions, international and regional organizations, leading consulting companies of the Republic Uzbekistan have attended this event.

Farkhod Ibragimov noted that Uzbekistan possesses all the required resources to modernize our country and develop the digital economy, the information technology industry as a whole, and highlighted four important components related to this development: uninterrupted power and high-speed Internet, modern infrastructure, promising and competitive personnel, and no less important - the image and brand of Uzbekistan in the world as an IT country with great potential.

A particular attention was drawn to the activity’s IT Park performs. “We opened our first building on July 24, 2019, and from that date the doors of IT Park did not close for a single day. Our residents and employees can be in IT Park 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. This is quite important moment for IT professionals who are working in the time zones of other countries, ” - said Farkhod Ibragimov.

IT Park CEO also spoke specifically about tax and customs preferences for residents via those IT companies can scale up their operation and mitigate financial risks.
