IT Park held a Demo day as part of EdTechHub Bukhara

On December 17 this year, in the Bukhara region, under the leadership of IT Park with the support of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the format of a Zoom-conference, a Demo Day was held within the framework of the incubation and acceleration program “EdTechHUB” with a total prize fund of 45 million soums.

The general composition of the jury included the chief specialist of the regional department of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications in the Bukhara region Nodir Matchonov, the senior specialist of the Investment Projects and Monetization Department of the Ministry of Innovative Development Zafar Abdurakhmonov, the founder of “Monday Labs” and “Monday Academy” Saidravshan Shakirov,  Tursun Shafiev, Head of the Department of Information Technologies, Bukhara State University; and Alisher Kudratov, Senior Manager of IT Education Leader.

During the event, graduates of the “EdTechHub” incubation and acceleration program were given the opportunity to present their developed projects, as well as to clearly show how their IT product works in front of potential clients and investors.  Evaluation of innovative projects was carried out according to their relevance, innovative orientation and novelty, attainability of results, demand for a product or service, investment attractiveness and economic efficiency.

The authors of the following startup projects became the winners:

1st place - the "Smart Greenhouse" project for enterprises for growing crops, aimed at automating and monitoring the actions being carried out, which makes it possible to minimize the presence of a person in the processes of growing plants in greenhouse conditions;

2nd place - LMS platform “Lemix” for educational institutions, which includes CRM and ERP systems;

3rd place - an innovative platform for registration and monitoring of students' medical records in educational institutions;

It should be noted that the process of implementing start-up projects was carried out with the support of experienced mentors represented by leading IT specialists from IT Park, who helped the authors of innovative ideas to carefully prepare for the final presentation, work out all the mistakes and make the project investment attractive.
