IT Park hosts workshop on attracting investments for startups

On October 28 at 17:00, Tashkent State Economic University will host a training from IT Park and the Startup Central Eurasia platform on the topic “How to identify key startup metrics to accelerate growth and attract investment using the Startup KPIs tool”.

Startup KPIs tool is a key metrics tool that allows a startup to identify its strengths and demonstrate them to investors. According to the Startup Genome report, 70% of startups misjudge their growth stage and try to scale prematurely, which ultimately leads to project failure. Analysis of startup indicators using the Startup KPIs tool will not only present the project to investors in a more favorable light, but will also help to avoid catastrophic risks for the company.

The event will consist of a theoretical and practical part. First, Irakli Kashibadze, CEO of Future Laboratory and Startup Central Eurasia, will speak on the topic “Opportunities for startups provided by the Startup Central Eurasia platform”. Then the SCE platform analyst Maxim Buryanov will speak about the following aspects:

— why it is important to define metrics for startup development (ARR, MRR, LTV, CAC, Churn Rate, Retention Rate, MRR Growth Rate, Gross Margin, Burn Multiple and others);

— how to determine the key metric for startup development (North Star Metric);

 — how to talk to investors based on the results of calculating Startup KPIs.

The startups at the idea stage and Pre-Seed will learn how to determine the North Star Metric for rapid growth, and projects at the Seed and scaling stage will put into practice the Startup KPIs tool calculator, which gives direct access to investments from platform partners. In addition, at the meeting, startups will be able to register for subsequent selection in the register of projects and get the opportunity to get into the mailing list for investors from the region of Central Eurasia, the USA and Europe.

Note: Earlier IT Park and Startup Central Eurasia have already conducted a similar training in an online format where startup founders were able to talk about their projects, share the problems they faced, and received recommendations on how to implement the Startup KPIs tool into their project evaluation system.
