The inauguration of IT Park Uzbekistan’s office in Seoul on October 30 marked a significant milestone in advancing Uzbekistan’s presence on the global IT stage. Serving as a bridge between the IT industries of the two nations, the Korean branch facilitates partnerships and introduces South Korean companies to Uzbekistan’s immense potential.
Nodirbek Berdikobilov, IT Park Uzbekistan’s representative in South Korea, held a series of meetings with executives of prominent South Korean IT companies. During these discussions, he showcased Uzbekistan’s favorable business environment, opportunities for joint ventures, the involvement of local experts, and pathways for Uzbek companies to expand their operations.
Anse Accounting Corp
At a meeting with Mr. Jongwoo Kim, Director of Anse Accounting Corp, discussions focused on the advantages of Uzbekistan as a platform for delivering international services. Mr. Berdikobilov presented the Zero Risk program, emphasizing the favorable conditions for IT Park members, including tax incentives and government support measures. Mr. Kim expressed a strong interest in establishing an office in Uzbekistan to outsource services. Representatives from Anse Accounting Corp are expected to visit Uzbekistan shortly to conduct an in-depth assessment of the business environment and regional infrastructure.
Anse Accounting Corp is a leading company established in 2007, ranking 10th in its industry, with a workforce of 396 employees and a revenue of $71 million.
OGN
Mr. Berdikobilov also met with Mr. Nam Yun Seong, President of OGN. During the meeting, Mr. Nam outlined plans to establish an international office, expressing significant interest in Uzbekistan’s strategic potential. Recognizing the country’s capabilities, he highlighted Uzbekistan as a potential hub for advancing data analytics in the gaming industry. A follow-up meeting will be organized to discuss the office establishment details and outline a long-term development strategy for OGN in Uzbekistan.
OGN is a prominent player in game data analytics and character visualization (motion capture). In 2023, the company reported revenues of $28 million, employing 105 staff members.
YourD
Discussions with Mr. Cho Gene, Founder of YourD, revolved around the establishment of an office in Uzbekistan to leverage local fintech experts proficient in the Korean language for South Korean projects and regional expansion. Representatives from YourD plan to visit Uzbekistan in January to evaluate infrastructure and conduct an initial candidate review.
YourD specializes in developing fintech solutions and building Web 3.0 infrastructure through authentication and payment systems.
Studio Popcorn
A meeting with Mr. Hwang Jun Ho, Founder of Studio Popcorn, was also held in Seoul. The company, which already operates an outsourcing office in Vietnam, is actively exploring new markets. After learning about the benefits of the Zero Risk program and Uzbekistan’s multilingual talent pool, Mr. Hwang expressed a keen interest in relocating operations to Uzbekistan, citing the favorable business conditions and promising prospects for growth. Mr. Berdikobilov invited the Studio Popcorn team to visit Uzbekistan to personally assess available office spaces and the country’s infrastructure.
Studio Popcorn specializes in creating animation and cartoon production, employing 78 staff members.
Malgnsoft
During discussions with Mr. Daniel Ha, CEO of Malgnsoft, plans to open an office in Uzbekistan by early 2025 were reviewed. The new office will focus on developing LMS platforms and creating online IT courses for South Korean clients. Representatives from Malgnsoft intend to visit Uzbekistan shortly to better understand local conditions. The company has shown particular interest in hiring Korean-speaking talent from Uzbekistan.
Malgnsoft specializes in artificial intelligence solutions and LMS development. The company reported $5 million in revenue in 2023 and employs over 30 staff members.
Campung
Mr. Berdikobilov held a meeting with Mr. Seo Jiwon, President of Campung. The IT Park representative provided insights into Uzbekistan's talent pool and expressed interest in the company’s online platform, which has the potential to be introduced to the Uzbek market while connecting neighboring countries. He also highlighted the advantages of the Zero Risk program.
Campung representatives demonstrated strong interest and announced plans to establish an office in Uzbekistan by the end of January next year.
Campung specializes in software solutions and operates an online platform for job postings targeting international students in South Korea, as well as an educational platform. The company employs 30 staff members.
Novaflo
A meeting with Mr. Oh Young Bin, CEO of Novaflo, focused on exploring collaboration opportunities and establishing an office in Uzbekistan. Representatives from Novaflo were highly impressed with the Zero Risk program’s advantages and expressed interest in Uzbekistan’s pool of Korean-speaking IT specialists.
Novaflo develops solutions for VR/AR and UI/UX design. The company employs 27 staff members.
These negotiations have highlighted the growing interest of South Korean companies in collaborating with Uzbekistan. With the support of IT Park, which provides tax incentives and access to a highly skilled IT workforce, Uzbekistan continues to strengthen its global position by attracting investments and fostering innovative projects.
