IT Park residents will be able to expand their activities in the Turkic Council countries

On February 9, 2021, there was held a meeting with the Turkic Council in IT Park with the purpose of discussing several actual topics regarding to the development of the Turkic Council partner countries in the sphere of ICT.

The Director of IT Park Ibragimov Farkhod, the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev, the Deputy Secretary General Azimov Mirvokhid, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Mustafayev Murad and the Deputy Director of IT Park for International Affairs Ayupov Bakhodir and others attended the meeting.

During the meeting, they discussed the ways of mutual cooperation between each other, particularly, the organization of a program to accelerate the digitalization of partner countries and hone the competitiveness of the Turkic Council countries in the field of ICT.


At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on joint work on the program «Digital Uzbekistan 2030» within the framework of the Turkic Vision 2040, as well as on assistance for the introduction of the vertical model of IT-education of IT Park in the countries of the Turkic Council members so as to increase IT potential of the younger generation.

Besides, the parties agreed on promoting Uzbek IT companies on the territory of the Turkic Council and raising business-awareness about these companies on the markets of the Council countries. The experience of some IT Park residents in exporting IT-services has been presented. The management of the Turkic Council expressed interest and assessed the advantages and benefits provided to IT Park residents. Based on the experience of IT Park, the management of the Turkic Council will be able to help companies in the Council member countries to reduce the cost of services and products by outsourcing non-core services and IT orders to Uzbekistan. On the basis of this, the management of the Turkic Council expressed its willingness to help the residents of IT Park in attracting foreign companies-customers, particularly from Turkey, where the IT Park delegation has visited recently.


The General Secretary of the Turkic Council, Baghdad Amreyev, noted that all of these are thanks to such ambitious and promising young people who had gathered in the IT Park team that the future would be determined within all the member countries of the Turkic Council.

On the same day, the Turkic Council discussed important issues in the sphere of IT with the Ministry for the Development of Information Technology and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during which four main areas were addressed:

1. Cybersecurity
This area is very important and is aimed at protecting the countries of the Turkic Council from cyberattacks, which are increasingly being observed all over the world. The focus will be on improving the cybersecurity skills of Turkic Council members.

2. E-government
Development of a common platform for electronic commerce (for example, the processing of goods and other things), with a view to creating a common document circulation and the introduction of an electronic signature on the territory of the Turkic Council.

3. Satellite service
Organization of seminars, master classes and trainings between the member countries of the Turkic Council in the sphere of G2G and B2G, provided by the Turkish and Kazakh sides.

4. The project on introducing fibre optics from Kazakhstan through Azerbaijan to Turkey.

Construction of the Trans-Caspian Fibre Optic Line, which is one of the main components of the project «TASIM» (Trans-Eurasian Super Information Highway), initiated by Azerbaijan in 2008. The purpose of the construction of the Trans-Caspian fibre optic line is to create an intercontinental fibre optic line from Europe to Asia.

The Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (Turkic-speaking Council) was established in 2009 as an intergovernmental organization with the common objective of promoting full cooperation among Turkic-speaking States.

During the 7th Summit, held in Baku in October 2019, Uzbekistan became a full member of the Council.

The Turkic Council is committed to the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations (UN) and other universally recognized principles and norms of international law, including sovereign equality, territorial integrity and inviolability of internationally recognized borders of States; as well as the maintenance of international peace, security and the development of good-neighbourly and friendly relations.

«Turkic Vision 2040» is a vision of the Turkic Council, which includes development and cooperation with countries in all spheres of activity. In the sphere of IT, the vision includes innovative startups, incubators, iTunes, digital transformation, public and private partnerships, intellectual property and so forth.
