IT Park took part in the annual CAIGF forum

From September 27 to 28, 2021, the fifth Central Asian Internet Governance Forum was held, the main goals of which are to strengthen open multilateral discussion of Internet development issues in the Central Asian countries of the global development region, to jointly search for a balance between security and development in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic to the consumption of digital development, reproduction of digital rights and opportunities, inclusion in the digital environment of the countries of the region that faced serious difficulties during the pandemic.

The organizer of the forum is the Public Foundation “Civil Initiative on Internet Policy”.

In the forum participated countries of Central Asia, regional and international experts and other specialists who, through joint efforts, can assess the current development of the Internet and its impact on socio-political and economic changes in the region.

IT Park is also a partner of the forum, which provided candidates from Uzbekistan for the Central Asian Privacy Awards 2021 ceremony: Information Security teacher at WIUT Nargiza Akramova, as well as the “Datagaze DLP” startup, as part of the Central Asian “Privacy Awards 2021”, In the nominations: “Teacher of the Year”  and “Startup of the Year”.

The winner in the “Teacher of the Year” nomination was Nargiza Akramova, who won for the creation and successful teaching of the Information Security course.

The winner in the “Startup of the Year” nomination was the “Datagaze DLP” startup from Uzbekistan, for the creation of a system to prevent leaks of confidential data at enterprises and organizations, implemented in the domestic market of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Participation in this forum allowed representatives from Uzbekistan not only to win prizes, but also to show their potential in the international arena, to analyze and evaluate the work of other participants.
